KVG Ayurveda Pharma and Research Centre, Sullia participated in “Yen-Can 2024: A National Conference on Integrative Approach To Cancer” held on 04/01/2024 to 06/01/2024 at Yendurance Zone, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) Campus, Deralakatte, Mangaluru organized by Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru. Being the sponsor for stalls, we had presented our organization where we had displayed specialties of our Hospital, College and products been prepared at our manufacturing unit.

There was good response from the delegates who enquired about our organization and even purchased few of our products. Dr. Gururaj H, Principal, Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mangaluru visited our stall appreciated our team & Institution, wished us good luck and thanked us for providing the sponsorship and participating in the conference. Our teaching staffs Dr. Pavana K.B, Dr. Shruthan K and Dr. Gopalkrishna N Nayak from Dept of Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana had even participated in oral paper presentation at the conference. At the end during Valedictory function we received a memento and Certificate of Appreciation by the organizing team of the conference. Overall it was a wonderful opportunity for us to exhibit our potential.

Dr.Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, a pioneer in the field of Education for the Rural Part of Malnad, was the one who carved Sullia into an Education Hub.

He was born on 26 December 1928 and it’s an unimaginable feat he achieved for the upliftment of society. He was keen on providing quality education to the people of Rural India. He initiated educational institutions one by one starting with Nehru Memorial College in the year 1976. Then he built an empire of educational institutions one after another. From primary education to professional colleges Ayurveda Medical College, Medical College, Dental College, Engineering College, Law college and other technical institutions are providing education to over 16,000 students from various parts of the world.

He has provided job opportunities to many people in various institutions under the Academy of Liberal Education (R). He left for Heavenly abode on 07/08/2013 leaving behind all he has achieved with glory.

Today in his memory all the staff of campus gathered at KVG Circle at the campus and honoured him with a floral tribute.

NSS unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital Sullia in partnership with RGUHS, Bangalore and UNICEF organized an orientation program on the project “Engagement of NSS Voluntaries for Social and Behavior change among the communities avail Health and Nutrition Services.” On 10.06.2022 at KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital Sullia premises. The program was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Leeladhar D V, Principal, KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital sullia. The guests were Dr. Ashok K, Prof. & HOD, Dept. of Prasoothi Tantra and Stree Roga, Dr. Purushothama K.G, Prof & HOD, Dept of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, CEO of KVG Ayurveda Pharma and Dr.Kavitha B M, Prof., Dept. of Dravyaguna, KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital Sullia. Dr. Pramoda P. A. NSS Program Officer delivered a talk on “Immunization & Vaccination”. Prof. Dr. Ashok K spoke on “Nutrition”.

Teaching staff, Non-Teaching Staff, PG Scholars, Internees and UG Students were present. In this Program, NSS volunteers have actively participated.
