As per the guidance of Election commission of India and Minister of Education, Govt. of India, NSS unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical College organised Voter’s awareness Jatha in the Sullia town on 23.02.2024. Jatha commenced from KVG Ayurveda Medical college, went in Sullia town and ended at Kurunjibag, near Dr. KVG statue. Principal Dr. Leeladhar. D. V and NSS program officer Dr. Pramoda P.A witnessed this event.

NSS unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical college participated in “Constitution awareness Jatha” on 21.02.2024

As per the direction of the Government of Karnataka, the social welfare department conducted “Constitution awareness Jatha” on 21.02.2024 at Sullia town. Jatha started from Kurunjibhag near Dr.Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda Statue, went through the Sullia town & terminated in Nehru Memorial College Sullia. During this awareness jatha K.V.G. Ayurveda Medical College Sullia, NSS unit volunteers participated & created awareness regarding rights & duties of the constitution in the public.

An insightful seminar on Research Methodology & Bio-statistics “ANUSANDHANA-2024” was hosted by KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia on 10/02/2024 at Dr. K.V. Chidananda A/C Auditorium, KVG Ayurveda Pharma & Research Centre, Sullia.

The seminar was conducted for academicians, researchers, and students to delve into the intricacies of research methodologies. Renowned scholars and experts in the field of research methodology were invited to share their wealth of experience and insights.

Chief organizing secretary of the seminar Dr. Purushotham K.G, CEO, KVG Ayurveda Pharma & Research Centre, Sullia welcomed the gathering. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. K.V. Chidananda, President, A.O.L.E, Sullia. He spoke about the need and importance of Research in the medical field and shared his experiences. Our beloved Principal Dr. Leeladhar D.V. addressed the gathering with his encouraging words.

On this occasion two new Classical Ayurveda Products manufactured at KVG Ayurveda Pharma & Research Center, Sullia namely “MAHAMANJISHTADI KHADA” and “MAHARASNADI KHADA” were launched.

Our first guest speaker Dr. Lakshminarayana Shenoy, Asst. Director, Govt. Ayurveda Research Centre, Mysore delivered lecture in two sessions on the topics “Research in Ayurveda & Statistics” and “Synopsis writing & Publication guidelines”.

Second session was on the topic “Basics of Drug Research & Clinical Research Designs” by the guest speaker Dr. Anand Katti, Professor & Head, Dept of Samhita & Siddanta, Govt Ayurveda Medical College, Bangalore.

Our another guest speaker Dr. Ajith Kamath, CCSEA Nominee, Medical Director & Associate Professor, Dept. of Agada Tantra, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Mangalore spoke on the topic “Animal Experimentation- Ethics & Guidelines”.

An interactive session with the speakers was provided to the participants to seek clarification and share their experiences followed by conclusive remarks by Dr. Udayshankar N, Professor & Head, Dept. of Shalakya Tantra, KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia and felicitation to the guest speakers at the end.

Dr. Harshitha M, Student welfare officer, delivered Vote of Thanks. Miss. Deeksha D.P and Miss. Deepti D mastered the ceremony. More than 150 delegates including Teaching and Non-teaching staff had participated in the seminar.

The Seminar was a resounding success, fostering a culture of research excellence within the academic community. The event not only provided valuable insights but also created a platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Annual special camp organized by NSS unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical college from 29.01.2024 to 04.02.2024, at Mandekolu

NSS unit of KVG Ayurveda Medical College under the flagship of Rajiv Gandhi University of health Sciences, Bengaluru, organized the annual special camp at Amrita sabhabhavana and Yadava Sabhabhavana, Mandekolu, from 29.01.2024 to 04.02.2024. The inaugural function of the camp on 20.01.2024 was presided by Dr. K V Chidananda, President, AOLE(R.) Sullia. Mr.Kushala Uddantadka, President, Grama panchayat Mandekolu, Mrs. Vinuta Patikallu, Member, Grama panchayat Mandekolu and Mr.Appayya Maniyani Akkappady, President,Yadava Sabha Pradeshika Samiti, Mandekolu were the chief guests. Prof. Dr.Leeladhara D V, Principal, KVG Ayurveda Medical college and hospital, was the guest of honour. Dr.Harshita.M, Student welfare officer of KVG Ayurveda Medical college, Dr.Pramoda.P A, NSS Program officer, the student council president and members were there on the stage.

The NSS volunteers participated in different activities in this NSS special camp including Yoga practice, health surveys, cleaning programs, free health checkup in different schools around Mandekolu and guest talks. On 03.02.2024 trekking was organized for the NSS volunteers under the guidance and support of Karnataka forest department, Sullia range.

On 04.02.2024, the camp ended with the valedictory function. This program was presided by Prof. Dr.Leeladhara D V, Principal, KVG Ayurveda Medical college and hospital. Mr.Ramachandra master, Kenaje, President, Yadava charitable trust, Madekolu and Mr.Ramakrishna Rai, President, Primary Agricuture Co-operative bank, Mandekolu were the chief guest of the function. Dr.Harshita.M, Student welfare officer of KVG Ayurveda Medical college, Dr.Pramoda.P A, NSS Program officer, NSS leaders Mr.Manoj and Ms. Nithya Das K.R were there on the stage. The best NSS teams in different NSS activities of the camp were honored during the occasion.

75th Republic day celebration at KVG Ayurveda Medical College on 26.01.2024

KVG Ayurveda Medical College & KVG Ayurveda Pharma and Research Centre, Sullia participated in “Suvarna Mahotsava of Chokkadi High School, Kukkujadka” held on 12/01/24 to 14/01/24 at Chokkadi High School, Kukkujadka, Sullia Taluk.

We were provided opportunity to present our organization, interact with the general public and sale our products. Specialties of our hospital, college and products being prepared at our manufacturing unit were displayed at the event. A team of Ayurveda experts interacted with general public and had given awareness about the Ayurveda medicine, treatment and medicinal plants. There was good response from the public who enquired about our organization and even purchased few of our products.
