Dr. Smitha P. K.
- Asst. Professor, Dept. of Panchakarma, KVG Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Sullia got appointed as Member of Board of Studies for Ayurveda in Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru, with effect from 28.03.2023 for the period of 3 years.
Dr. Vinaya Shankara Bharadwaj
- Associate Professor, Dept. of Rachana Shareera, KVG Ayurveda Medical College delivered a lecture on the topic “Sandhi, Asthi Shareera”, in Ayur Anatomy online lecture series organised by Jignasa Karnataka, on 6th July, 2023.
- He has delivered a talk on the topic “Anatomy of the heart and its applied”, for the students of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research. This event was arranged by Dept. of Rachana Shareera, Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, on 21st November 2020.
Dr. Udayashankar N.
- Professor and HOD Dept. of Shalakya Tantra, KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Sullia, got selected as the member of the expert committee in Shalakya Tantra at All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi.
- He has delivered talk for the Association of Salaki members on “Marma Chikitsa in the diseases of head and neck ” on 7/8/2020.
- He has written a book on Shalakya Tantra which is published through Chaukhamba Publication, New Delhi.
- He has visited Japan Institute of Ayurveda & given Guest Lectures & conducted workshop on ‘Agnikarma’
Prof. Dr. Udaya Shankar was the resource person for continuing Medical Education organized by All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi on FEBRUARY 1 st 2020. He conducted two sessions in which he discussed the topics “The preventive and therapeutic approach in Shiroroga”, “The treatment protocols & benefits of Ksharakarma & Agnikarma in Shalakya Tantra”.
Dr. Leeladhar D. V. (Ayu)
- Principal of KVG Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Sullia, completed the Capacity Building Programme on Educational Planning and Administration, organised by National Commission for Indian System of Medicine in collaboration with National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration at NIEPA, New Delhi. He is one among the first batch of Ayurveda fraternity to complete this training Programme.
- On the occasion of National Ayurveda Day Celebration, he was conferred with NATIONAL AYURVEDA DAY 2022 AWARD by Mr. K. G. Bopaiah, MLA, Virajpet, Kodagu Dist. on 23.10.2022. The programme was organised by District Administration & Zilla Panchayath, Kodagu, Department of AYUSH, Kodagu & NIMA, Kodagu at Kelagina Gowda Samaja Hall.
- He has visited Japan Institute of Ayurveda & given Guest Lectures & conducted workshop on ‘ The role of Ayurvedic Herbs in Therapeutic and Cosmetic Use’
- Selected as member for Board of Studies (PG) R.G.U.H.S., Karnataka, Bengaluru.
Dr. Purushotham K. G.
- Professor & Head, Dept. of Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana has been appointed as editor for edited book series titled “Futuristic Trends in Medical Sciences” to be published with ISBN under Interactive International Publishers (IIP) USA & India.
- He has been awarded with “HOD of the Year Award- 2022” by InSc (Institute of Scholars), certified under Ministry of MSME & Corporate Affairs, Govt of India. This award was presented after reviewing teaching experience to UG & PG Scholars, feedback from students, research works published, academic activities conducted, involvement and beating various positions in extracurricular & social activities.
- He has written a book on Shalakya Tantra which is published through Chaukhamba Publication, New Delhi.

- “No Drug Day” Program for students. Dr. Raghavendra Prasad B.S., Assistant Prof., Dept. of Shalakya Tantra, participated as guest speaker to create awareness about prevention of drug addiction on 27-6-2022, at Vivekananda PU College at Puttur, organised by Indian Red Cross Society, Puttur Branch and Vivekananda PU College.
- He has participated, did paper presentation on “a Resistant Case of Adhrusha, Ayurveda Management, a success story”. Also received certificate and memento for being Judge for scientific sessions, in National Conference “Shalakon 2022” At NIA Jaipur. on 17th & 18th of June 2022, organized by TAS and National Institute of Ayurveda, Jaipur.
- He has given a talk on “Prevention of Corona Virus & Awareness Program” on 11-03-2020, at Sri Ramakunjeshwara College, Ramakunja, Kadaba Taluk, Dakshina Kannada.
- He gave a speech to Create Awareness to Prevent and Manage Tuberculosis on 12-1-2020 at Govt. Primary School at Kedila, Puttur Taluk, Dakshina Kannada.

- Assistant Professor, Department of Kayachikitsa, KVGAMC, Sullia, had won the first place in the Kanaka Keertana Gangotri and conferred with “Kanaka Puraskara”. The program was held under the Auspicious Banner of Mangalagangotri Kanakadasa Adhyayana Kendra, Mangalore University on 05/04/2022.
This competition was held on 08/10/2021 for all the Institutions under Pre-University, Post Graduate, Institutions, under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Vishveshwaraiah Technical University, Boards of different Institutions of South Canara, Udupi and Kodagu Districts.
Dr. Gowri Shankar C. K.
- JCI Bellare and Youth JCI wing Bellare on account of JCI week 2021 honoured Dr. Gowrishankar, Asso. Professor, Department of Shalakya Tantra on 15/09/2021. He was considered a young enthusiastic Doctor, who is hailing from a village and his services are greatly revered by the general public. His service to mankind was of great help and was thus taken into consideration by JCI Bellare to honour him on the occasion of JCI Saptaha 2021.

- He has presented an online guest lecture on the topic “Appendicities and it’s Management” on 18-5-2020 for PG Students of Tapovana Ayurveda Medical College & Hospital, Davangere.

G. Dept. of Kaumarabhritya, State Ayurvedic College & Hospital, Lucknow, U.P. (India) on 3rd and 4th September, 2020.

- He has delivered online guest lecture on the topic ”Stanyapanayana” on 26/08/2020. A National Webinar on Kaumarabhritya “Kumarabharana 2020”, organized by S. V. M. Ayurveda Medical College and PG Research Center, Ilkal, Dist. Bagalkot.
